Erich and Ginny have been married for nearly 40 years, and they have spent their years together in full-time vocational ministry – first with Young Life and the rest with Grace Fellowship Church. They held various positions at Grace (both volunteer and paid staff) over their 32 years there, including Teaching Team, Student Ministry, Care Ministry, Worship Team, Women’s Ministry, Children’s Ministry, Small Groups, and Pastoral Leadership.
They have a passion to help couples build their marriage on a strong foundation and stay healthily married for a lifetime. They discovered this passion early in their own marriage as they became aware of how ill-prepared for marriage they had been. They added Marriage Ministry to their roles at Grace about 25 years ago, teaching premarital workshops, holding marriage conferences, and doing couple-to-couple marriage coaching and mentoring. Erich has performed almost 250 weddings and together they have coached hundreds of couples.
Erich holds a B.A. degree in English from William and Mary, and Ginny holds a B.A. degree in Theater and Dance from Old Dominion University. They have both completed a 2-year Spiritual Formation Program through the Transforming Center and Erich is a certified Soul Care Provider through Potters Inn.
Erich and Ginny love hanging out with their 4 kids, their kids-in-law, and their 9 (and counting!) grandchildren, and they are thrilled now to be able to singularly pursue their passion and calling to help married couples thrive through Sparrow Ministries.
